Once upon a time, she wrote a letter. Once upon a time, she drew a picture. The very first Sugarheads drawing came straight out of a beautiful courtship story. Erin used a sepia pencil to draw a couple having tea. She gave the couple sugar cubes for heads and captioned the art, “Two lumps please – you and me, Sugarhead.” She gave the card to her future husband, and Sugarheads were born.

Our artist, Erin, resides in the beautiful countryside of Indiana with her husband of more than three decades. Surrounded by gorgeous shade trees and lush flower gardens, there is plenty of peaceful inspiration around them. Soft-spoken and gentle at heart, Erin has a vast array of life experiences that come to play in her art.
A Heart for Art
Erin has always loved to draw, even from the time she was a small child. Her heart is still passionate about her art and she looks forward to the moments when she can pull out her supplies and let her creativity have free reign.

Erin is the heart and soul behind these whimsical characters. Two battles with cancer have grown the resilient spirit that is evident when spending time with Erin. Grateful for God’s gift, not only of life, but of the creativity that He has placed inside each one of us, she gives Him all the glory—and she doesn’t allow that creativity to be wasted! Her sweet spirit is reflected in the “sweetness” of the scenarios in which her little Sugarheads find themselves. From romantic picnics, to adventurous gallops through the woods, her characters are sure to put a smile on the face of anyone receiving one of these cards.
